Check a company in the UK business register
From March 2019, with the preparations for Brexit, VATify.eu makes parallel verifications of British businesses in VIES and the UK government's company register (Companies House).
VATify.eu retrieves the title, address, sector, VAT ID, registration number and date, the status of the registration and valid VAT rates.
Collection of additional information (shareholders, signatories) is planned for the future.
As of 1st of January 2021, when the Brexit transition period ends, VIES validations for UK companies will no longer work. Use VATify.eu to verify British VAT IDs:
Notification samples
When a change with a particular company is noted, a notification with registered changes will be sent to you. Once per week, VATify.eu sends a status report(XLSX file) with all available data on companies you are tracking.
Unique company identifier
UK companies have multiple unique identifiers,:
- company registration number (CRN), issued when the company is formed and registered in the Companies House register,
